‘Inak lies in the Qatif area of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, on the western shore of the Gulf. It belongs to the Qatif oasis, one of the oldest settled areas in the region, long sustained by groundwater that supported date palm cultivation. From above, the town sits where cultivated land, housing and coastline meet.
The map shows dense blocks of houses, surrounded in places by the textured green of palm groves and farms, with roads that follow old field boundaries. To the east the land meets the shallow, indented coast of the Gulf, where reclaimed land and newer roads have altered the shoreline over the years.
