Isulan is the capital of Sultan Kudarat province, in the Soccsksargen region of Mindanao. From above, the town is a small, fairly regular centre where the main roads meet. Around it, farmland stretches out in every direction, divided by irrigation lines and rural roads. The ratio of fields to streets is what gives the map its character.
The main highway passes through the town and links it to neighbouring municipalities. Government buildings, markets and schools cluster near the centre.
