Itororó lies in the south of Bahia, inland from the cacao coast, in a region where cattle ranching has long shaped the landscape. The town occupies a valley among low, rolling hills, and on a map its streets follow the lie of the land, running along the valley floor and climbing the lower slopes in short, irregular blocks.
Beyond the urban edge, the drawing opens into wide pasture with scattered farm buildings, fences and tracks. A few roads connect Itororó with neighbouring towns, bending with the hills as they leave the valley.
