Ribbon between waters
The town runs as a long strip between the Gulf of Riga and the Lielupe River, often only a few blocks wide, which gives the map its unmistakable elongated shape.

Jūrmala Map Poster & Print
Jūrmala is one of the most distinctive shapes on any map of the Baltic. The town stretches for more than 30 kilometres along the Gulf of Riga, but in many places it is only a few streets wide, squeezed between the sandy beach on one side and the Lielupe River on the other. The result is a long, thin line of settlement.
The street network inside that strip is regular and fine. Parallel streets run along the coast, and short cross streets link the beach and the river, with pine forest and wooden villas filling the blocks. Districts such as Majori and Dzintari follow one another along the shore, each with its own station on the railway line from Riga.
A Jūrmala map poster makes the most of this unusual geometry. In black and white, the straight coastline, the curving river and the narrow band of streets between them form a composition that is instantly recognisable. It is a natural choice for anyone who spent summers on the Latvian coast.

Unbroken beach
A long sandy beach follows the entire seaward edge of the town, so the coastline appears as one smooth, continuous line along the map.
Railway and stations
The railway from Riga runs through the length of Jūrmala, and its line with a sequence of stations ties the resort districts together like beads on a string.

Chifukwa chiyani Jūrmala
Mapu okhala ndi tanthauzo
For many people from Riga and beyond, Jūrmala means summers, sea air and walks under the pines. A map of its narrow coastal strip holds those memories in a single, elegant shape.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the name of a family dacha street or a summer year, and edit the coordinates. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and print it wide, since the long format suits this coastline.
