Kanigiri is an inland town in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, well away from the coast in an upland zone of low, rocky hills and dry farmland. Its setting is shaped by that terrain: the built-up area gathers on the more level ground, while the surrounding ridges and outcrops leave pale gaps where roads and houses give way.
