Khon Buri is a district town in Nakhon Ratchasima province, south of the provincial capital on the Khorat Plateau of north-eastern Thailand. The land here is broad and gently undulating, used mainly for rice, cassava and sugarcane, with ponds and reservoirs scattered across it. On a map the town is a compact cluster of streets set in a wide expanse of farmland.
The centre is organised around a main road and a market area, with streets forming a loose grid and residential lanes spreading out from it.
