Mangueirinha sits on the high plateau of southwestern Paraná, a region of rolling farmland, rivers and remaining patches of araucaria pine forest. The town is laid out on a compact grid, typical of settlements founded or expanded during the region's twentieth-century colonization, with a main avenue running through the center.
A large part of the municipality belongs to the Mangueirinha Indigenous Land of the Kaingang and Guarani peoples, which protects one of the most significant remaining araucaria forests in Brazil.
