Mihe lies in central Shandong Province in eastern China, in the flat farmland of the North China Plain. The name refers to the Mi River, and the map shows the town in a wide agricultural landscape, with fields in regular strips and long straight roads connecting it to neighbouring towns.
The built-up area is compact, with a main street and a network of smaller roads around it. Beyond the edges the pattern changes to rectangular fields and village clusters, each a small group of houses surrounded by farmland, typical of rural Shandong.
