Müllheim lies in the south-west corner of Germany, in Baden-Württemberg's Markgräflerland, between the western slopes of the Black Forest and the Upper Rhine plain. The French border along the Rhine is only a short distance to the west, and Freiburg and Basel are both within easy reach by rail.
