Nūrābād is a town in Lorestan Province in western Iran and the administrative centre of Delfan County. It lies among the Zagros Mountains, where long, folded ridges run parallel from northwest to southeast. The town occupies valley ground between them, and its shape follows the lie of the land.
On a map the streets gather along the valley floor. Main roads run lengthwise with the terrain, and cross streets link the neighbourhoods on either side. Beyond the edge of town, fields and orchards give way to open slopes, and roads climb out toward villages in neighbouring valleys.
