Pantheeramkavu lies in the Kozhikode district of Kerala, a short distance inland from the city and the Malabar coast. Like many places in this part of the state, it has no single compact centre. Houses and small commercial clusters are spread along the roads, separated by gardens and coconut palms. From above, it reads as a loose, leafy settlement rather than a dense town.
The road network is typical of northern Kerala. A few main routes carry traffic toward Kozhikode and neighbouring towns, and a fine mesh of smaller lanes branches off them.
