Pīshīn lies in the south of Sistan and Baluchestan province, in the far southeast of Iran, close to the border with Pakistan. The surrounding terrain is arid, and from above the town appears as a compact knot of streets surrounded by wide open ground, where the lines of roads and dry watercourses become the main features.
