Qingshizui is a town in northeastern Qinghai, high on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau, in the valley country below the Qilian ranges. From above it is a small, clear settlement set in wide open land. A few main roads meet at the town, and the streets around them form a compact grid before giving way to farmland.
The setting is what defines this map. Broad valley floors carry roads and field strips across long distances, while higher ground closes in on the edges of the frame. Watercourses from the mountains cross the plain in thin, braided lines. Compared with lowland towns, the scale feels generous: a small core with a lot of land around it.
