Shuanglonghu lies in Chongqing's Yubei District, north of the old city's river peninsula. From above, it shows the typical Chongqing pattern where the terrain dictates the plan: roads follow valleys and wrap around low ridges, leaving green hilltops as islands among dense blocks. There is little of the straight grid seen on flat Chinese plains.
