Sīmīn Shahr is a town in Golestan Province, in the low, fertile country east of the Caspian Sea. The land here is broad and nearly level, divided into fields and crossed by irrigation channels and rural roads. From above, the town is a compact grid set into this agricultural pattern. The edges of the built-up area are clear, and the ground beyond is ruled into long parcels.
