Surian is a town in the north of Fars province in Iran, the administrative centre of Bavanat county. It lies at altitude in a valley bordered by mountain ridges, and the map reflects that setting. The built-up area follows the valley floor, with roads running along its length and the slopes rising on either side, lightly marked by tracks and field boundaries.
