Voznesenivka is a town in the southeast of Ukraine's Luhansk region, near the Russian border. It grew as a coal mining settlement in the Donbas. Until 2016 it was called Chervonopartyzansk, and it took its current name under Ukraine's decommunisation laws.
On the map, the town combines residential streets, groups of apartment blocks and large industrial plots linked to mining. Railway lines and roads cross the rolling steppe between the settlements of the coalfield. Spoil heaps and ravines break up the open land.
