Molines-en-Queyras lies in the Queyras Regional Natural Park, in the Hautes-Alpes close to the Italian border. Instead of a single village centre, the commune is made up of several hamlets strung along the valley of the Aigue Agnelle, a torrent that descends from the mountains to the east.
