Bungu is a settlement in Tanzania's Pwani region, the coastal belt south of Dar es Salaam. The map here is loose and open rather than dense. A main road links the area to the wider region, and a network of smaller tracks and footpaths branches off it toward homesteads and farms.
Around the settlement, the land is a mix of cultivated plots, bush and woodland typical of the coastal hinterland. Houses cluster near the roads and thin out into the countryside, so the built area has soft, irregular edges instead of a clear boundary.
