Daimiel Map Poster & Print
Daimiel lies in the province of Ciudad Real, in the heart of the La Mancha plain. The town is best known for the Tablas de Daimiel National Park to the north. It is a wetland where the Guadiana and Cigüela rivers once spread into shallow floodplains, and it is one of the most important inland wetlands in Spain for birds.
The town itself is compact and dense. Streets form a tight, irregular network around the main squares and churches, and then the pattern stops abruptly at the edge of the plain. Beyond it, straight rural roads and field boundaries divide the flat landscape of vineyards, olive groves and arable land into long, geometric parcels.
A Daimiel map poster shows the contrast between the tightly packed town and the open grid of La Mancha. A wider framing can reach towards the wetlands, whose irregular watercourses and lagoons add a completely different texture. It is a clean, balanced composition with a strong sense of place.

La Mancha field grid
Straight roads and field edges divide the plain into long rectangles of vineyards and crops, a repeating pattern that fills the space around town.
Tablas wetlands
To the north, the national park's reed beds and river channels form soft, irregular shapes, very different from the geometric farmland.
