El Fahs sits in the interior of northern Tunisia, in Zaghouan Governorate, where the land opens into broad agricultural plains. From above, the town is a tight cluster of streets surrounded by field boundaries and long rural roads. Where the dense core ends and the open countryside begins, the edge is sharp, so the town reads on paper as one clear shape set against empty space.
The town grew as a market and crossroads for the surrounding farmland, and the map shows it. Roads come in from several directions and meet near the centre, and a finer grid of residential lanes fills the space between them.
