Guye is a district of Tangshan in Hebei Province, on the northern edge of the North China Plain, not far from the Bohai Sea coast. It developed as a mining area, part of the long coal history of the Tangshan region. From above, residential blocks, broad roads and industrial sites fill a flat landscape crossed by railways.
