Kuttikkāttūr lies on the eastern side of Kozhikode, in the Malabar region of northern Kerala. It is not a separate town with its own centre so much as part of the city's green, spread-out edge. On the map it appears as roads and houses scattered among coconut groves, garden plots and small hills.
The terrain is gently rolling, typical of Malabar's low laterite uplands, so the roads rarely run straight. They follow ridges and dip into shallow valleys, where paddy land and streams still survive in places. Houses sit in individual compounds with their own trees, which gives the built area a light, loose pattern rather than solid blocks.
