Malārd lies in Tehran Province, on the broad plain to the west of the Iranian capital. The land here is flat, and the city's map reflects that: streets spread outwards evenly, with a mix of regular blocks and older, more irregular quarters. Main roads connect it to Tehran and neighbouring towns, forming clear axes through the plan.
