Mar de Ajó is a seaside town in the Partido de la Costa, on the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires Province. It is one of a string of resort towns running south from Cabo San Antonio, popular with families from Buenos Aires in the summer months.
On the map, the town is a long, narrow strip. A regular grid of streets runs parallel to the beach, bounded by the coastline on one side and the coastal dunes and lowlands on the other. The main streets lead straight down to the sea.
