Putian Map Poster & Print
Putian lies on the central Fujian coast, where the Mulan River crosses the fertile Xinghua Plain on its way to the sea. On a map the city appears as a dense core surrounded by a web of irrigation channels, villages and newer road grids that fill the flat land between the hills and the shoreline.
The river's best-known structure is the Mulan Weir, an irrigation dam begun in the Song dynasty that still helps distribute water across the plain. Offshore, Meizhou Island is known across the Chinese-speaking world as the birthplace of Mazu, the sea goddess, and draws pilgrims each year to its temple complex.
A Putian map poster brings these layers together: the thread of the river, the fine mesh of canals and fields, and the ragged edge of the coast with its bays and islands. Water shapes nearly everything here, and in a minimalist print that gives the city a quiet, intricate texture.

Irrigation canals
A fine mesh of waterways crossing the Xinghua Plain, visible between the built-up districts. In monochrome it reads as a delicate pattern beneath the streets.
Meizhou Island
A long, narrow island off the coast, home to the ancestral Mazu temple. It sits at the edge of the map like a punctuation mark to the mainland shoreline.
