Sun Valley is an unincorporated community in Washoe County, Nevada, a few miles north of downtown Reno. It occupies a narrow valley between desert hills, and its shape on a map follows that terrain closely. A long band of residential streets runs roughly north to south, and the slopes on either side are left largely open.
The streets form a loose grid of residential blocks, many lined with manufactured homes and modest single-family houses, and the main road runs the length of the valley floor.
