Tianpeng is the central town of Pengzhou, a county-level city under Chengdu in Sichuan Province. It lies on the northwestern edge of the Chengdu Plain, where the flat farmland begins to rise toward the Longmen Mountains. From above, the town shows a dense urban grid with newer districts spreading outward and a network of rivers and channels crossing the land.
The Chengdu Plain has long been watered by an ancient irrigation system, and the map reflects that heritage: channels and streams run across the landscape in parallel lines, dividing fields and connecting settlements.
