Watauga is a small city in Tarrant County, part of the suburban belt northeast of Fort Worth. On a map it looks like a classic post-war American suburb. Wide, straight arterial roads mark out large squares of land, and inside those squares residential streets curve, loop and end in cul-de-sacs.
The city is almost entirely residential and fits closely against its neighbours in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
