Yeni Suraxanı is a settlement in the Suraxanı district of Baku, on the Absheron peninsula of Azerbaijan. Its name means New Suraxanı, and it lies close to the older village of Suraxanı. The terrain is flat and dry, and on the map the settlement shows a dense pattern of narrow streets and walled plots, typical of Absheron villages.
The area around it has long been associated with oil. Oil fields, pipelines and industrial land are spread across the peninsula, together with shallow salt lakes that appear as pale open shapes on the map. Railway lines and main roads connect the settlements to central Baku to the west.
