Adelanto Map Poster & Print
Adelanto is a city in the Victor Valley of San Bernardino County, in California's high Mojave Desert, just west of Victorville. From above, it shows a pattern that is common in desert towns: a large rectangular grid of roads, with built-up neighbourhoods in some sections and open desert in others.
US Route 395 runs through the city, linking it with the Inland Empire to the south and the eastern Sierra to the north. The land around it is flat and dry, dotted with Joshua trees and creosote. On a map, this shows up as long, straight lines of roads set against empty space.
An Adelanto map poster captures the scale and geometry of the Mojave. The grid is almost abstract, with dense residential blocks in some places and sparse lines in others. It suits people from the high desert and anyone drawn to the stark order of towns in the American West.

US Route 395
The highway runs through Adelanto as a strong line. It connects the city to the rest of the Victor Valley and beyond.
Open desert
Large areas of undeveloped land lie within and around the grid. They give the poster its spare, open feel and make the street blocks stand out.
