Argun Map Poster & Print
Argun lies in the Chechen Republic on the river of the same name, a short distance east of Grozny. From above, the city spreads across flat land on the plain north of the Caucasus mountains, and the river marks its western side as it flows out of the mountain valleys to the south.
Much of the city has been rebuilt in recent decades. On a map this shows as wide, straight avenues, large residential blocks and regular planned districts, alongside older areas of low houses with gardens set on smaller streets.
A Argun map poster shows this combination of river, plain and new construction. The long main roads, the ordered blocks and the river's edge create a clear, strong composition, and the design is easy to read from across a room.

Wide avenues
Broad main roads cross the city in long, straight lines, giving the map a clear framework that ties the districts together.
Low-rise districts
Areas of private houses and gardens form a finer, denser street pattern that contrasts with the larger blocks of newer construction.
