Cohansey River
The river runs through the middle of the city and continues south toward Delaware Bay. Its curves cut across the street grid and form the main line of the map.

Bridgeton Map Poster & Print
Bridgeton grew up where the road crossed the Cohansey River, and the river still divides the city on the map. Streets climb away from both banks in a loose grid, with the older commercial core near the water and residential blocks spreading east and west. Upstream, a large wooded park and lake break the pattern, and beyond the city limits the farmland of Cumberland County begins.
The city is the seat of Cumberland County and holds one of the largest historic districts in New Jersey, with buildings dating from the eighteenth to the early twentieth century. City Park is home to the Cohanzick Zoo, often described as the first zoo in the state. The name itself comes from the bridge that once carried traffic over the Cohansey, the crossing that gave the town its start.
A Bridgeton map poster shows a small American city whose story is easy to read: the river that started it, the grid that followed and the parkland that softens it. The winding Cohansey, heading south toward Delaware Bay, gives the composition a natural spine that looks good at any print size, from a small frame to a large wall piece.

City Park and lake
A large wooded park with a lake lies upstream along the river. It is a broad green shape on the map and also holds the Cohanzick Zoo.
Historic district
The older blocks near the river are denser and more irregular than the later grid. This reflects a street plan that took shape over two centuries of growth.

Zakaj Bridgeton
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Bridgeton means something specific to the people who grew up there, worked in its glass and canning plants, or walked in the park on Sundays. A clean map of the river and streets keeps that close, whether it hangs in a hallway at home or in an office far away.
You can title the poster with a street name, a family surname or the year you left, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or have a matte print shipped to you, framed in wood if you like.
