Singing River marshes
The lower Pascagoula River breaks into braided channels and wetland on the city's eastern edge, a loose, organic pattern that contrasts sharply with the road network.

Gautier Map Poster & Print
Gautier lies in Jackson County on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, between Ocean Springs and Pascagoula. It is a young city, incorporated in 1986, and its map shows it. There is no old grid at the centre. Neighbourhoods follow the water instead, curving around bayous and inlets that reach inland from the Mississippi Sound.
US Highway 90 runs east to west through town, and Interstate 10 crosses the northern side. Between them, residential streets loop and end in cul-de-sacs, often stopping short at marsh or open water. To the east, the Pascagoula River, also called the Singing River, splits into channels and wetlands before it reaches the coast.
Shepard State Park sits within the city limits, a wooded stretch beside the river marsh. The coast here took heavy damage in Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and its outline is still the city's defining feature. A Gautier map poster shows how closely land and water are interlaced along this part of the Gulf.

Bayou-shaped neighbourhoods
Residential streets bend around tidal bayous and inlets, so many blocks end in water or marsh instead of meeting the next street.
Highway 90 corridor
The coastal highway gives the city its main east to west spine, the one continuous line running through a layout that is otherwise shaped by shoreline.

Zakaj Gautier
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Gautier is where many people along the Gulf Coast grew up fishing the bayous or moved for work at the nearby shipyards. A map of its winding shoreline is a personal reminder of home on the water.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a street name, a wedding date or a move-in year. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the water-laced layout particularly well.
