Poblacion centre
The historic town centre forms a small, dense cluster of streets around the church and plaza, easy to pick out amid the much larger modern developments.

General Trias Map Poster & Print
General Trias lies in the province of Cavite, south of Manila Bay, on lowland that rises gradually toward the uplands of Tagaytay. From above, the map shows a small historic centre near the old church, surrounded by large planned subdivisions, industrial estates and new road links that have turned former farmland into one of the region's growing urban areas.
The city takes its name from Mariano Trías, a leader of the Philippine Revolution, and was formerly known as San Francisco de Malabon. It became a city in 2015, reflecting the rapid expansion of housing and manufacturing across this part of Calabarzon over recent decades, as Metro Manila's growth pushed steadily southward.
A General Trias map poster shows two scales of development side by side: the modest street pattern of the old town and the broad, looping layouts of master-planned communities. Rivers and creeks run northward across the land toward Manila Bay, adding thin natural lines between the neatly drawn blocks and roads.

Planned subdivisions
Large residential communities appear as enclosed areas with curving internal roads, cul-de-sacs and gated edges, giving much of the map a patterned, almost tiled look.
Northward creeks
Rivers and streams flow from the higher ground in the south toward Manila Bay, crossing the city in narrow, winding lines that break up the built-up area.
