Wardha River edge
The Wardha River runs close to the town. Its curving line gives the flat, worked landscape a natural boundary and anchors one side of the composition.

Ghugus Map Poster & Print
Ghugus sits in Chandrapur district in eastern Maharashtra, close to the Wardha River, in a landscape shaped by coal. From above, the town is a compact knot of streets. Around it lies something rarely seen on a poster: the broad, angular scars of open-cast workings and spoil heaps, and the long lines of rail spurs that carry the coal away.
The residential core is dense and irregular, with lanes packed tightly between a few main roads. Around it, industrial plots and workers' colonies follow a different rhythm, laid out in straighter blocks and repeated rows. The contrast between the organic centre and the planned edges is what makes the plan interesting in black and white.
A Ghugus map poster draws all of this in plain line work: the river to one side, the roads meeting in the centre, the quieter tracks leading into the mining ground. It is a map of a working town, drawn without decoration, and it tends to mean the most to people who have lived or worked there.

Coalfield geometry
Open-cast mining around Ghugus leaves wide, angular shapes on the map. Reduced to black and white, this kind of landscape looks almost abstract.
Planned colonies
Housing built for industrial workers shows up as tidy, repeated blocks, in clear contrast with the looser, older lanes near the centre of town.

Zakaj Ghugus
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For families with roots in the Chandrapur coal belt, Ghugus is rarely on anyone's wall, and that is why a precise map of it feels personal. It records where shifts were worked, where homes were built and where a particular stretch of the river bends.
You can add a title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and the coordinates line, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9, and printed posters ship from print partners in 30+ countries.
