The river runs past the town centre in wide curves, forming the main natural feature and giving the map its flowing central line.

Karawang Map Poster & Print
Karawang lies on the northern coastal plain of West Java, where the Citarum River flows toward the Java Sea. The town grew along the river, and on the map its centre follows the water, with streets gathering near the crossings. Beyond the town, the land opens into wide rice fields crossed by irrigation canals, long known as one of Java's key rice-growing regions.
In recent decades, large industrial estates have been built along the toll road between Jakarta and Bandung. Their planned roads and large factory plots now contrast sharply with the fields and villages around them. In the north of the regency, Rengasdengklok is remembered for the events of August 1945, just before Indonesia declared independence.
A Karawang map poster shows the river, the canals and the old town together with the new industrial grids. The combination makes a layered composition in which agriculture and industry sit side by side. It is a fitting map for people whose families farmed this land, or who arrived to work in its factories.

Irrigation canals
Straight canals cross the surrounding farmland at regular intervals, dividing the rice fields into a clear geometric pattern.
Industrial estates
Large planned zones near the toll road have broad plots and ordered streets, which look very different from the organic village layouts nearby.

Zakaj Karawang
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Karawang has drawn many workers from across Indonesia, and for them it is where a family life began. A map of the city with a personalised title, date or coordinates marks that start, as well as the rice fields that shaped the region long before the factories arrived.
Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand goes well with the farmland landscape. The HD files cost $9 and have no watermark, and printed posters are shipped from partners in more than 30 countries.
