Dense town centre
The core is a close weave of narrow lanes and small blocks. Drawn in fine black lines, it carries most of the visual weight at the middle of the poster.

Khātegaon Map Poster & Print
Khātegaon is a town in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh, in the broad agricultural country that slopes down toward the Narmada River. On a map it reads as a small, dense knot of streets surrounded by a wide pattern of fields. Roads leave the centre in several directions toward neighbouring villages and the larger towns of the region.
The built area is modest, so the drawing is made of short lanes, irregular blocks and a few longer roads that carry most of the traffic. Beyond them the linework thins quickly, and the surrounding land becomes a pale ground crossed by tracks, streams and field boundaries. That contrast between a tight centre and open country is what gives a Khātegaon map poster its character.
On the map, the edges of the town stretch outward along its roads rather than filling in evenly, so the outline is uneven instead of round. At a close scale the poster keeps the whole settlement legible, from the market streets at its heart to the point where the last houses give way to cultivated land.

Roads to the region
Several roads run out from the town toward nearby villages and district towns. They form the longer strokes that anchor the composition and lead the eye outward.
Narmada country
The town sits in the agricultural plain north of the Narmada. At wider framings, the open land and watercourses around it fill the edges of the print.
