Town centre streets
The core of Lunas is a short run of commercial streets around the main road, the densest part of the map and the natural focal point of the poster.

Lunas Map Poster & Print
Lunas is a town in the Kulim district of Kedah, in northern Peninsular Malaysia, close to the border with Penang. From above, it has a compact centre of low buildings and short streets, with residential areas spreading outward and soon giving way to plantation land. The geometry is modest and practical, formed by a main road and the lanes branching from it.
The surroundings are shaped by agriculture, with rubber and oil palm estates laid out in regular blocks crossed by service tracks. Small rivers and drainage channels thread through the low ground. On a black-and-white print these estate patterns become a fine texture around the town and give the map a distinctly rural Malaysian character.
A Lunas map poster is a natural gift for someone who grew up in Kedah or who travelled regularly between Kulim and the Penang mainland. The design keeps the town at the centre with room to breathe on every side, and the coordinates line underneath anchors it precisely, a small detail that people from small towns tend to appreciate.

Plantation patterns
Estate roads and field boundaries around the town form long, regular lines that contrast with the looser residential streets and add structure to the edges of the print.
Near the Penang line
Lunas lies close to the boundary with Penang, and the roads heading west connect it with the towns of the mainland just across the state line.

Zakaj Lunas
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
