Mile-square grid
Major roads run north–south and east–west about a mile apart and divide the city into even squares. This gives the whole map a strong, regular structure.

North Las Vegas Map Poster & Print
North Las Vegas covers the northern part of the Las Vegas Valley in southern Nevada. From above, the desert grid defines it. Arterial roads run about a mile apart, and each square is filled with curving cul-de-sac subdivisions, parks and schools. Interstate 15 cuts diagonally through the city. To the north the streets end abruptly at open desert and the ranges that frame the valley.
The city was incorporated in 1946 and grew rapidly along with the Las Vegas area, especially from the 1990s onward. On its eastern edge lies Nellis Air Force Base, home of the Thunderbirds demonstration team. Much of the newer growth follows the master-planned model, with large tracts of housing laid out around parks, schools and golf courses.
A North Las Vegas map poster makes the most of this structure. The mile grid gives the design a strong frame and the subdivisions fill it with fine curving patterns. The air base runways and the freeway add bold geometric strokes. The result is a graphic, modern map that suits a new home in the valley or a room with clean lines.

Curving subdivisions
Inside each square, cul-de-sacs and looping residential streets form intricate patterns. Seen from above, this is one of the most recognisable textures of the desert suburbs.
Nellis runways
The long, parallel runways of Nellis Air Force Base lie on the eastern edge. They form a bold diagonal shape among the surrounding streets and open desert.

Zakaj North Las Vegas
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people move to North Las Vegas for a first home, a new job or a posting at Nellis. A map centred on the street where you settled is a personal way to mark that chapter, and it also makes a useful housewarming gift.
Set the title to your neighbourhood or family name, add a move-in date to the subtitle and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand echoes the desert, and Noir makes the grid stand out sharply.
