Paddy-land geometry
Irrigation and drainage channels cut the lowland into long, regular strips. The flat western part of the map takes on an orderly, almost ruled texture.

Pokok Sena Map Poster & Print
Pokok Sena is a district and small town in Kedah, north-east of the state capital, Alor Setar. It lies on the edge of the broad lowland that has made Kedah known as Malaysia's rice bowl. From above, the country is a patchwork of flat paddy land and kampung settlements strung along roads and waterways. Toward the east the ground rises into wooded hills.
The town centre is modest: a few intersecting streets, shophouses, schools and mosques. Most of the district's built form is spread out. Villages follow roads and irrigation channels, and houses sit in lines with their orchards and gardens behind them. The mix of straight drainage lines and gently curving village roads gives the map a calm rhythm, more rural than urban.
A Pokok Sena map poster shows a landscape shaped by rice farming rather than by city planning. Long parallel lines mark the channels. Thin roads link one kampung to the next, and the small town sits as a gathering point in the middle. It is an understated, spacious image that suits people who know northern Kedah's countryside.

Linear kampungs
Village houses line the roads and waterways in single or double rows. They form thin bands of detail rather than compact blocks.
Eastern upland edge
Toward the east the roads thin out and begin to curve as the land rises into forested hills. This sets up a clear contrast with the plain.
