Siswā Bāzār Map Poster & Print
Siswā Bāzār is in Maharajganj district in the north of Uttar Pradesh, a district that borders Nepal. The land here is the flat, fertile plain below the Himalayan foothills, crossed by small streams and irrigation channels. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets set among fields.
As the name suggests, the town grew around trade. Its central lanes are dense and irregular, the kind of pattern that forms around a long-established market. Roads lead away to surrounding villages and to larger district towns, and the built-up area thins out quickly into cultivated land.
A Siswā Bāzār map poster shows that simple structure clearly: a busy centre, the roads running out from it, and plenty of open space around. The result is quiet, well balanced and easy to recognise for anyone who knows the town.

Rural road network
Roads leave the town toward nearby villages and district centres. They give the settlement an outward-reaching shape on an otherwise open plain.
Northern plains
Flat fields surround the town right up to its edges. On the poster they become calm white space that frames the streets.
