Wenshan City Map Poster & Print
Wenshan City lies in south-eastern Yunnan, in a basin surrounded by karst hills. On a map the city stretches along the Panlong River, with a compact centre of regular blocks and newer districts extending along the valley floor. Beyond the built-up area, the landscape breaks into irregular hills and farmland, and the roads follow the lower ground between them.
It is the seat of the Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, a region with large Zhuang, Miao and Yi communities. Wenshan is especially known across China for sanqi, also called Panax notoginseng, a medicinal root grown widely in the prefecture and traded in the city.
A Wenshan City map poster shows a city shaped by the terrain: the river as a central line, a tidy urban core, and a looser pattern of roads fanning out into the hills. The mix of order and irregularity gives the print a quiet, balanced feel, with plenty of open space around the streets.

Valley city core
The central districts form a compact grid on the flat basin floor, the densest part of the city's street network.
Karst hill edges
Irregular limestone hills surround the basin, pushing roads into curves and leaving open, uneven spaces at the edges of the map.
