Le faʻafanua
Caacupé sits in the low hills of the Cordillera Department, roughly an hour east of Asunción along the main highway towards Ciudad del Este. The town occupies a ridge, and its map shows a regular grid softened by the terrain, with streets bending where the land falls away. Beyond the built-up edge, the lines thin out into rural roads and wooded hillsides.
It is widely regarded as Paraguay's spiritual capital. The Basilica of Our Lady of the Miracles stands at the heart of town, facing a broad open esplanade, and every year around the eighth of December large numbers of pilgrims walk here from across the country. On the map, that esplanade is the most distinctive open space, a clear void among the blocks.
The highway runs through the town as a strong axis, linking it to the capital in one direction and the interior in the other. A Caacupé map poster captures the balance between the formal centre, the grid that surrounds it and the looser roads spreading into the hills, all reduced to crisp lines on a plain ground.
The wide open square in front of the basilica is the town's central void, built to hold pilgrim crowds and clearly visible as a large clean shape in the street plan.
The main road from Asunción passes straight through town, forming a dominant line that the rest of the grid attaches to on either side.
The surrounding hills shape the outer streets, which curve and fade into rural roads, giving the edges of the map a softer, more organic texture.

Aisea Caacupé
Caacupé holds meaning for many Paraguayans, whether through the December pilgrimage, a childhood in the Cordillera or a family tradition. A map of the town is a quiet way to mark that attachment in a home, far from the crowds and noise of the feast days.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a pilgrimage year, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Choose a $9 digital file in six sizes or a printed poster shipped from a partner near you.
