Le faʻafanua
Honjō lies at the northern edge of Saitama Prefecture, on the flat expanse of the Kantō Plain where the Tone River forms the boundary with Gunma. In the Edo period it was Honjō-shuku, one of the larger post stations on the Nakasendō highway, and the former route still threads through the older part of the city.
The map shows a central district of narrow streets and small lots around the old highway and the railway station, surrounded by a looser pattern of residential blocks, fields and factories. Paddies and vegetable plots create rectangular textures on the outskirts, while irrigation channels and small rivers run across the plain toward the Tone.
A stop on the Jōetsu and Hokuriku Shinkansen, Honjō-Waseda Station, opened south of the centre in the 2000s, and a newer district has grown around it along with a Waseda University campus. A Honjō map poster brings together the old post town, the straight rail lines and the river border in one clear, balanced picture.
The former highway passes through the older centre, lined with narrow lots typical of Edo-period post towns, and remains visible as a subtle spine in the street pattern.
To the north, the broad Tone River and its floodplain separate Honjō from Gunma, forming a wide natural edge along the top of the map.
The high-speed line crosses the plain in a long, perfectly straight stroke, with Honjō-Waseda Station and its newer streets set apart south of the old town.

Aisea Honjō
Honjō appeals to people who like places where history lies just beneath an ordinary modern town. It is also a meaningful print for students, commuters and families who have made a life between Saitama and Gunma.
Personalise the title and subtitle, add a date, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Of the five styles, Paper suits the post-town heritage, Blueprint emphasises the rail lines and river, and Classic black & white shows the plain's patterns most clearly.
