Le faʻafanua
Jinjiang is a county-level city administered by Quanzhou in southern Fujian. Its northern boundary follows the Jin River, from which it takes its name, just before the river reaches the sea at Quanzhou Bay. To the south and east, the land runs out to a ragged coastline of bays, headlands and tidal flats facing the Taiwan Strait.
From above, Jinjiang is less a single city than a spread of towns that have grown into one another. Dense clusters of streets, factories and houses are linked by straight arterial roads, and gaps of farmland and water are still visible between them. The pattern reflects its growth as a manufacturing base, especially for footwear and sportswear, with several well-known Chinese brands founded here.
The best-known historical feature lies in the south-west at Anhai, where the Anping Bridge, built in the Song dynasty, crosses a shallow bay on stone piers for more than two kilometres. The city also hosts Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, whose runway cuts a straight line through the urban fabric. A Jinjiang map poster captures that mix of old coast and new industry.

The river marks Jinjiang's northern edge before widening into Quanzhou Bay, giving the top of the poster a strong waterline that separates it from neighbouring Quanzhou.
The runway sits within the built-up area, its long straight strip cutting across the surrounding streets and forming one of the most geometric elements of the map.

Aisea Jinjiang
Jinjiang has a large overseas diaspora, and many families trace their roots to its towns and villages. A map of the coastline and streets makes a thoughtful gift for relatives abroad, as well as for those who live and work here today.
Add a family name or village to the title, a meaningful year to the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates to a precise location. Choose from five styles, then download the HD files for $9 or order a matte print with an optional frame.
