Le faʻafanua
Murudeshwara lies on the coast of Uttara Kannada in Karnataka, in Bhatkal taluk, between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. Its best-known feature is Kanduka Giri, a small hill on a promontory surrounded by water on three sides. The hill holds the Murudeshwara temple dedicated to Shiva, and on a map the headland is the town's clear focal point.
The temple complex is known for its towering gopura and for one of the tallest statues of Shiva in the world, both visible from far along the coast. Behind the headland the town spreads inland along a few main streets, while the beach curves away on either side. The Konkan Railway and the coastal highway run parallel to the shore a little further inland.
A Murudeshwara map poster gives the coastline a leading role: the sharp point of the promontory, the smooth sweep of sand and the open water beyond. Further out to sea lies Netrani Island, a well-known diving spot. The poster is a natural choice for pilgrims, travellers and families from the Karnataka coast.
Kanduka Giri, the small hill on the headland, is almost surrounded by the sea and carries the temple complex, forming the most recognisable shape on the map.
Long stretches of sand extend on either side of the promontory, giving the map a smooth, curving shoreline against the open Arabian Sea.
The Konkan Railway and the coastal highway run parallel to the shore inland from the town, two long lines that frame the settlement.

Aisea Murudeshwara
Many people visit Murudeshwara on pilgrimage or on a journey along the Karnataka coast, and the temple on its headland is a memorable image. A map keeps that place in view without relying on a photograph, and it suits a calm, modern interior.
You can title the poster with the name of the temple, the town or a personal phrase, and add the date of a visit, a wedding or a family event. Five styles are available, and printed posters can be ordered with an optional wooden frame.
