Slope-shaped streets
Roads here tend to follow the hillside rather than a strict grid, so the street lines bend and step as they rise away from the lower city.

Neapoli Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Neapoli is part of the continuous urban fabric of Thessaloniki. It sits on the rising ground northwest of the historic centre, where the city starts to climb away from the Thermaic Gulf. Its streets are short and closely spaced, and the blocks are small. The map is almost entirely built up, with few open spaces.
The neighbourhood grew quickly in the twentieth century as Thessaloniki expanded beyond its old walls. Today it shares a municipality with neighbouring Sykies. On paper the boundary between the two hardly shows. One compact street pattern flows into the next, and the only sense of where one district ends is the way the slope bends the grid.
A Neapoli map poster captures this closely woven piece of a large Greek city. It works less as a picture of monuments and more as a portrait of everyday streets. Framed at the right scale, it can take in the terraced blocks, the roads that run along the contour lines and, at the edge of the frame, the start of the green hills above.

Seamless urban fabric
Neapoli joins Sykies, Stavroupoli and central Thessaloniki without a visible break, which gives the map an unusually dense, continuous texture from edge to edge.
Green upper edge
Toward the top of the slope the buildings thin out and give way to wooded ground. On the print, that open space contrasts clearly with the packed streets below.

Aisea Neapoli
O se faʻafanua e iai lona uiga
People hang Neapoli because it is the Thessaloniki they actually know: the street they grew up on, a family apartment, the walk down the hill. A close crop keeps that personal scale instead of the tourist view of the waterfront.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a move-in date. Choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 HD download or a printed poster.
