Le faʻafanua
Valencia is the capital of Carabobo state and one of the largest cities in Venezuela. It sits in a broad valley between the coastal range and the hills of the interior. Its historic core follows the Spanish colonial plan, a regular grid of blocks around Plaza Bolívar and the cathedral, and from there the city has spread outward in every direction.
To the north the streets rise toward the mountains that separate the valley from the Caribbean coast, and residential districts spread along these slopes on curving roads. To the east lies Lake Valencia, often described as the largest freshwater lake in Venezuela, and its shoreline appears at the edge of wider maps. Highways link the city to Puerto Cabello on the coast and to Caracas.
South-west of the city lies the Campo de Carabobo, where the Battle of Carabobo in 1821 secured Venezuelan independence. A Valencia map poster brings together the colonial grid, the looser suburbs and the green edges of the valley. It suits anyone who grew up among its avenues or studied at the University of Carabobo.
Around Plaza Bolívar, the oldest part of the city keeps its regular grid of square blocks. This clear pattern at the heart of the map loosens as the city spreads outward.
Streets curve and climb where the city reaches the foothills to the north. The grid breaks into winding residential roads with green space between them.
On wider views, the large lake east of the city forms an open expanse of water. Its shoreline contrasts with the dense streets of the valley.

For people from Valencia living abroad, a map of the city keeps a neighbourhood close. Title it with an urbanización or a street, add a date or names below, and leave the coordinates as a quiet final line.
Blueprint gives the grid a sharp technical look, and Paper feels softer and warmer. The $9 digital files come in six sizes with no watermark. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
