Valley setting
The town occupies level ground in a valley between hills, so its streets gather in a compact area and thin out quickly toward the slopes.

Mapa
Aoxi Map Poster & Print
Aoxi is a town in Jiangxi Province in southeastern China, set in the hilly country that covers much of the province's interior. From above, the built-up area sits in a valley, with streets following the flatter ground while the surrounding slopes remain covered in fields, woodland and scattered villages.
Like many Chinese county towns, Aoxi combines an older core of narrow lanes with newer roads and residential blocks added in recent decades. Main streets run along the valley and connect the town with the wider region, while smaller paths lead out toward the farmland and hamlets in the hills.
An Aoxi map poster shows a place where the landscape still shapes the town. The streets concentrate where the land is level, water courses thread through the valley, and the surrounding hills leave the edges of the map open and quiet. It makes a calm, understated drawing, far removed from the image of dense Chinese megacities.

Old and new layers

Rural surroundings
Fields, woodland and small villages surround the town, leaving open space around the streets and scattered clusters of buildings toward the edges.
